|||Well, in most countries you will need to have a name in order to make a purchase since the car will be registered at the time of purchase. Though if you mean do you need a known or famous name? Generally no... as with most items being sold, the primary qualifying factor is the ability to pay and nothing else.
There have been some instances though where Ferrari have made cars that were sold only to people that were invited by the factory. The most recent large scale case was with the Enzo, which requried (as I recall) that potential purchasers already owned two or more Ferraris and were recommended to the factory by their dealer (or already known to the factory).
In the case of one off specials... such as resale of F1 cars and the like, these are sold only by invitation to people known by the factory (and such sales include confidentiality clauses along with many other special stipulations in the sales agreement).
Aside from those circumstances though, the worse case most will encounter is a waiting list.|||you are selected to receive the new enzo Ferrari but you can buy any of the others.|||Just a bigger bank account then the average joe...|||to buy a ferrari
